Direct Recruitment from among Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe
communities only
(1) Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with not less than 45% marks
from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as
equivalent thereto in the respective subject by a University in Kerala.
(2) (i) B.Ed in the concerned subject acquired after a regular course of
study from any of the Universities in Kerala or a qualification
recognized as equivalent thereto by a University in Kerala.
(ii) In the absence of persons with B.Ed. Degree in the concerned
subject, B.Ed Degree acquired in the concerned faculty as specified
in the Acts and Statutes of any of the Universities in Kerala
Must have passed the State Eligibility Test (SET) for the post of Higher
Secondary School Teacher conducted by Government of Kerala
Women and Child Development
Caretaker (Female)
Direct Recruitment (From Female candidates belonging to the
Scheduled Tribe community only).
In the absence of Scheduled Tribe Candidates, Scheduled Caste
Candidates will also be considered for selection.
1. PDC or Plus Two or equivalent and one year experience as a Care
giver in any of the child care institutions recognised by the Kerala State
Orphanage Control Board under Social Justice Department.
2. Should possess good physique.
Every person appointed to the category shall from the date on which he joins duty be
on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three
years.

(a) General
(i) A pass in Pre-Degree or equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks or ‘B’ grade in
Science subjects. Relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed to those belonging to Socially and
Educationally Backward communities who come under the purview of GO.(P) 208/66/PD dt
21.5.1966 and subsequent orders/amendments.
(ii) S.S.L.C or equivalent for Ex-servicemen who have passed Class I Blood Transfusion
Assistant Test and have put in not less than 15 years service in the Armed Forces.
(b) Technical
A pass in one year Medical Laboratory Technician Training Course conducted by the
Medical Colleges, in Kerala or by the Public Health Laboratory, Thiruvananthapuram or any
qualification equivalent thereto
