Bihar Police Sub Inspector: Syllabus and Exam Pattern
The Bihar Police Sub Inspector Exam will be conducted in Three Stages. The First two stages are based on written exam- Prelims and Mains exam. The Detailed analysis of exam pattern and marking scheme of the all three stages of Bihar SI exam are discussed below.
The three Stages of the Bihar Police Sub Inspector Exam are as followed-
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Stage-1: Prelims Exam Pattern of Bihar Police SI Exam
The Bihar Police SI Prelims Exam consists of two sections- Current events and General Knowledge and Awareness sections. The exam pattern of bihar police SI Prelims exam is given below in the tabular form-

Note-
- The Candidates who score less than 30% marks in Prelims exam, will not be eligible to appear for the mains.
- As per the Negative marking scheme, 0.2 marks (1/5) will be deducted in both the preliminary and main examinations.
- The number of selected candidate in prelims exam will be 20 times the total notified vacancies.
Stage-2: Mains Exam Pattern of Bihar Police SI Exam
The main exam of Bihar Sub Inspector consist of two papers- General Hindi and General Study. Each paper contain 100 question, each question have maximum 2 marks. The exam pattern of Bihar SI mains exam is provided below:

Stage-3: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of Bihar Police Sub Inspector
The number of selected candidate in Mains exam will be 6 times the total notified vacancies. These Candidates will be appearing in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). For the post of Sub-Inspector (SI), a candidate needs to fulfill certain physical requirements. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is being conducted to test physical abilities, strength, stamina, and other aspects.
